Finding your door
A coast without a centre, cut into strips by two roads
Orihuela Costa is not a town with a square and a high street. It is a string of urbanisations on the coastal edge of the municipality of Orihuela, some 35 km from its old town, and the N-332 and the AP-7 run along it like two seams. Cabo Roig and Lomas de Cabo Roig share a name and sit on opposite sides of the main road; Villamartín is on the far side of the motorway, about three kilometres from the sea.
So the most useful thing you can say on the phone is which strip you are in, then the urbanisation, then the street and the block. Every place covered is on the page for each urbanisation and the towns either side.

Services
The work, door by door
Pick the one that matches your problem for the details. Already standing outside a locked door? Go straight to the emergency line; the phone is answered 24 hours a day.
- Emergency call-outs any hour Shut out of a bungalow at midnight, a key snapped in the gate, keys gone with a bag on the Saturday market: the phone is picked up at any hour.
- Door opening homes and apartments Front doors of quads, townhouses, apartments and villas opened through the lock, with drilling kept as the last resort.
- Lock change & repair planned work Fresh euro cylinders, snap-resistant upgrades, worn multipoint gearboxes and seized garden gate locks, on a date you choose.
- Aluminium & uPVC doors sliders and porches Sliding terrace doors that will not latch, glazed porch enclosures, solarium doors and uPVC doors that have dropped out of line.
- Car lockout opening only Keys locked inside at a beach car park, a golf club or a shopping centre: we get the door open, and nothing more.
- Second homes owners living abroad For owners who spend months in the UK or elsewhere: locks checked before you fly, access arranged for a trusted person, a door secured while you are away.
- Holiday rentals owners and managers Guests stuck at the gate, cylinders swapped when a set of keys goes missing, keypads with flat batteries: help for whoever runs a let.
- Shops & businesses shops, bars, offices Shopfront doors, back doors and offices in the commercial centres, planned around the hours a business is actually open.
- After a break-in secure, then upgrade The forced door locking again first; stronger cylinders and a reinforced frame once the Guardia Civil and the insurer have seen it.
- Safe opening homes and offices Wardrobe and wall safes that refuse the code, have no power after the winter, or came with a house nobody left the code for.
Who rings
Homes that are lived in, let out, or left for months
In 2024, 27,929 people were registered as living in Orihuela Costa, five per cent more than the year before, and many foreign residents are known never to register at all. Across the municipality, British residents are the largest foreign group by far, at 9,681.
Only 31,863 of the 88,528 homes counted in the municipality are somebody's main home, and 5,760 were registered as tourist lets by mid-2024, most of them on this coast. That shapes the calls: an owner back in the UK whose neighbour found the gate open, a manager with guests on a doorstep in Playa Flamenca, a resident shut out of a bungalow in Lomas de Cabo Roig. There is a page for owners abroad and one for the people who run lets.
Before you decide
Five things you can hold us to
- Somebody picks up, in English or Spanish, and gives you a realistic time for your street at that hour. There is no figure on this site, because a printed one would be a guess.
- Proof comes first. Nothing is opened until you have shown, one way or another, that you have the right to be inside.
- The lock is tried before the door. Opening through the cylinder is always the first attempt; drilling is the last, and you hear about it before it starts.
- The price is agreed before the work begins, once the lock has been seen, not after the job is done.
- No reviews are invented. There are no testimonials on this site; the reviews page explains why, and where they will appear.
More about how the business works is on the about page, and every way to reach it is on the contact page. Practical pieces for this coast are in the guides.
Questions
What people ask before they ring
Does that include the urbanisations on the far side of the AP-7?
Yes. Villamartín and the developments around it are covered, and so are El Galán, Blue Lagoon and Las Filipinas, which belong to San Miguel de Salinas. Say which side of the motorway you are on when you ring.
Can the whole job be explained in English?
Yes, on the phone and at the door, and in Spanish too. The invoice can be written up for a Spanish insurer or community administrator if you need one.
Will you copy a key for the gate or make a car key?
No. Keys are not cut, copied or duplicated here, for doors, gates, padlocks or vehicles, and car keys are never supplied or programmed. What we do is get doors open, fix and fit locks, and open cars with the keys shut inside.
How is the work paid for?
By cash, card or Bizum. You hear the price at the door, after the lock has been looked at, and say yes or no before anything is done.
I live in the UK and the house here is empty. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Locks can be changed or checked with someone you trust there to open up, and the keys handed to whoever you choose. The second home page explains how that is arranged.
Somewhere between Punta Prima and Campoamor?
Ring, or send the name of your urbanisation, a location pin and a photo of the lock on WhatsApp.
